About Me
The purpose of The Big Sister is to fill an emotional and informational gap for girls who may not have someone in their lives to answer sensitive questions or offer support. Many young people rely on the internet or friends for advice about topics like puberty or emotions, but often the information they find is inaccurate, overwhelming, or judgmental. This project aims to create a space that feels trustworthy, warm and genuine, somewhere girls can turn to for answers that are both educational and kind.
"Every girl deserves a safe space to ask questions, learn and grow without fear or judgement."

Why I Created It
When thinking about what I wanted to create for my major work, I thought about how lucky I was growing up with a secure and supportive network of women to guide me through the difficult stages of being a young girl. I created The Big Sister to be the supportive resource for any girl that may not have the same community to allow them to find useful resources and advice on questions they might have as they grow into confident young women.
